Glauco Solieri shows up at the weekend in Monza as a protagonist and shows off his talent proven experience on wet tracks.

Glauco: ““I knew I could do well and I put in my maximum effort even if the final results didn't deliver they were the ones I wanted. The water has tormented the public and the drivers for the most part of the weekend but I felt I had a great feeling with my Porsche, even on the wet. In free practice I achieved excellent times, placing myself in the top overall positions.

In race 1, under pouring rain, I managed to move up to the top from mid-table positions, at the end I was fighting for first place in the category and third overall, when unfortunately my car went into aquaplaning causing me to lose control and knocking me out, luckily without damage.

In race 2, on Sunday on a dry track, I started from the fourth row with the intention to recover positions but the lack of power of the engine on long straights of Monza didn't allow me to improve and I crossed the finish line in tenth place overall and fourth in category. I thank my engineer Lorenzo Martinelli and the excellent support of Eugenio Pisani (SP Racing) who together were able to provide me with the best conditions to do well. Obviously I also thank all the Sponsors and my family who, as always, are at my side. Now I have my eyes set to the future which sees me busy with the double role of Driver and of Team Manager.

Our brand new programs will be revealed in December.”

Glauco Solieri si presenta nel weekend di Monza da protagonista e mette in mostra la sua comprovata esperienza su pista bagnata.

Glauco:

“Sapevo di poter fare bene e mi sono impegnato al massimo anche se i risultati finali non sono stati quelli che desideravo. L’acqua ha tormentato pubblico e piloti per gran parte del weekend ma io sentivo di avere un grande feeling con la mia Porsche anche sul bagnato. Nelle prove libere ho ottenuto ottimi tempi piazzandomi nelle prime posizioni assolute.

In gara 1, sotto una pioggia battente, da metà classifica sono riuscito a risalire nelle prime posizioni, sul finale stavo lottando per il primo posto di categoria e il terzo assoluto, quando purtroppo la mia auto è andata in aquaplaning facendomi perdere il controllo e mettendomi fuori gioco, per fortuna senza danni.

In gara 2, la domenica su pista asciutta, partivo in quarta fila con l’intenzione di

recuperare posizioni ma la mancanza di potenza nel motore sui lunghi rettilinei di Monza, non mi ha permesso di migliorarmi e ho tagliato il traguardo in decima posizione assoluta e quarto di categoria.
