GT CUP OPEN EUROPE BEGINS!

First weekend of the 2024 sporting season, in Portimao.

26-27-28 April

Glauco Solieri shows up aboard his Porsche GT3 Cup followed closely by his historic engineer Lorenzo Martinelli who is part of racing world once again after having been absent for several years. Solieri calls, Martinelli answers. The duo has achieved important things in the past objectives thanks to their great harmony. So we are expecting a very interesting new season.

The first free practice on Friday, under an unusual rain Portugal, see Glauco and his Porsche in third place overall and first in category. On Saturday in Race 1, several technical problems slowed down Glauco as he cut the finish line coming fifth in the category.

On Sunday in Race 2, after having been third in category for a long time, at only 2 laps to go, unfortunately he punctures a tire and must give way to the competition, finishing fourth in the category.

Glauco: “A start to the season full of unexpected events and interesting news at the same time. Swisseagle's management is all new and in progress running in to be more compact and strong at the appointments that they will follow in the 2024 season. We are preparing to return to Spa Francorchamps, on the weekend of 25th and 26th May, much more competitive to achieve our goals together. Events will be broadcasted, as always, in live streaming, I'll wait for you!”

Glauco Solieri si presenta a bordo della sua Porsche GT3 Cup seguito

da vicino dal suo ingegnere storico Lorenzo Martinelli che rientra nel

mondo delle corse dopo essere stato assente per vari anni. Solieri

chiama, Martinelli risponde. Il duo in passato ha raggiunto importanti

obiettivi grazie al loro grande affiatamento. Quindi ci si aspetta una

nuova stagione molto interessante.

Le prime prove libere del venerdì, sotto un’insolita pioggia in

Portogallo, vedono Glauco e la sua Porsche in terza posizione assoluta

e primo di categoria.

Il sabato in gara 1, diversi problemi tecnici rallentano Glauco che taglia

il traguardo arrivando quinto di categoria. La domenica in gara 2, dopo essere stato a lungo terzo di categoria, quando mancano solo 2 giri dalla fine, purtroppo fora un pneumatico e deve cedere il passo alla concorrenza, arrivando quarto di categoria.

Glauco: “Un inizio di stagione pieno di imprevisti e allo stesso tempo di

novità interessanti. Il management di Swisseagle è tutto nuovo e si sta

rodando per essere più compatto e forte negli appuntamenti che

seguiranno nella stagione 2024. Ci stiamo preparando per rientrare a

Spa Francorchamps, nel weekend del 25 e 26 maggio, molto più

competitivi per raggiungere i nostri obiettivi insieme. Gli eventi saranno

trasmessi, come sempre, in diretta streaming, vi aspetto!”
